We've just found out that indie feature film The Lie, with its accompanying Peter Raeburn-composed soundtrack, has been sold to Screen Media distribution and is planned for theatrical release in the Autumn.
Soundtree composer Oliver Julian has been confirmed as the music composer for upcoming comedy series Spy, which is currently in production and is produced by Hat Trick productions. The show stars Darren Boyd as and Robert Lindsay and will be debuting on Sky1 in the Autumn. We're all rather excited about it, and of course we'd like tosay a big congratulations to Oli.
You may have seen from our website, we've done a lot of work with Mother London for their Stella Artois campaign over the past year. As such, and in light of the fact that we have been shortlisted at the 2011 Cannes Lions Awards for Best Use Of Music for 'Tu Le Sauras Bien' (as seen on Stella's 'Le Quest' ad), we thought we'd share with you a few of the projects we've been privileged enough to compose music for. Enjoy!
We're delighted to let you all know that singer-songwriter and Soundtree collaborator Megan Wyler will be playing The Vortex in North London in support of her stunning new album. Equipped with an amazing voice, powerful, soulful songs and an album produced by Adem, Megan will be gracing the stage with her backing band - which also includes Soundtree musicians.
Soundtree have helped soundrack a short film by Stella Artois, 'The Death And Life Of Jacques D'Azur', which was premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. Created by Mother London, the film features the winner of Stella's Cannes Casting Call competition (which Soundtree also composed the music for) in the lead role.
A little while ago Soundtree created a lovely little song called 'I Know You Know Me' for Heinz's 'Invisible Bottle' ketchup advert. Well it's back on the air for a while, and given the calls we had last time for it to be released, we've decided to get ahead of the game this time and post a link to it on iTunes HERE. The song was written by Nick Foster, Peter Raeburn and Oli Julian and featured Oli Julian on vocals.
Soundtree have collaborated with director Kim Gehrig of Somesuch & Co to produce New Look's summer clothing advert, entitled '100 Days Of Summer', for Mother London. Peter Raeburn and Oliver Julian worked with sound designer Henning Knoepfel to furnish the ad with both music and sound.
A big congratulations to NIck Foster, who has won a BAFTA for his work on popular television game show The Cube. Nick, who has written extensively for Soundtree, composed an original score for the show, and fought off other nominees The Apprentice, Strictly Come Dancing and The X Factor to win in the Entertainment Craft Team category alongside Julian Healy, Peter Johnston and Barry Osment for ITV1/Objective Productions.
Have a look at this great remix of Power by The Temptations created for the latest Blackberry Playbook ad. This superb version was produced by Soundtree's Oliver Julian, Luis Almau and Peter Raeburn for the RIM's new portable tablet campaign.
We've written the score for a great new interactive film-slash-website for Range Rover's new Evoque. Directed by the award-winning Nick Gordon and created by The Brooklyn Brothers, the film follows the slightly hapless but lovable Henry, played by Leo Fitzpatrick (The Wire, Kids), as he begins what appears to be just another normal day.
We thought we'd share with you this brilliant piece of music which Nick Foster composed for Soundtree for a Comic Relief 2011 spot encouraging parents in the developing world to send their daughters to school. The film was directed by award-winning director Paul Weiland.
