Soundtree are very excited to announce that we have been twice nominated at the Music And Sound Awards (http://www.masawards.com/nominations). Stella Artois "Quest" is in line to win Best Original Composition. The piece was composed by Oli Julian, Peter Raeburn and Nick Foster. The second is an advert for Avios soundtracked by Leila's 'Underwater (One for Keni).' discovered by Peter Raeburn.
'Fly' was Campaign's last 'Ad Of The Week' in 2011 and we certainly enjoyed working on it! When seeing the test footage, Peter Raeburn immediately thought of 'Underwaters' by Leila. As Campaign noticed, it brought out 'an almost haunting quality' from the incredible images captured by Simon Ratigan and as soon as we heard it with the final cut we knew that it added another dimension to the work.
We were very happy to see Campaign vote Stella Artois as the Advertiser Of The Year for 2011. Our composers Peter Raeburn, Nick Foster, Oli Julian and Evan Jolly are extremely proud to have played a part in such a successful set of adverts. Our work on "Quest", "Train", "Le President", "Audrey" and "The Life and Times of Jaques d'Azur" - which premièred at Cannes - also required the help of Oliver Chanarin and Tom Rees-Roberts.
Congratulations to Simeon Goulden for Spy's nomination for Best New British TV Comedy at The British Comedy Awards 2011! Oli Julian had a great time working on the music for Spy so we wish Simeon the best of luck at the awards:
We've been itching to share with you our work on Chivas Regal's two new short films for their campaign 'Live With Chivalry'. Directed beautifully by the Academy Award winning Joachim Back, 'Here's To Twinkle' and 'Here's To Big Bear' centre around a group of guys who experience the highs and lows of friendship and find out what sticking together means. We acted as Music Supervisors on this project - both sourcing and clearing all the tracks used and when existing songs couldn't quite do the films justice, we composed our own pieces too. Listen out for our mesmerising version of 'Getting To Know You' as well as the subtle piano versions of 'It's Our Time' as featured on the TV trailer for these films. Written by Peter Raeburn and Nick Foster, the trailer version features Peter Raeburn on vocals. Plans afoot for the long form single release too so watch this space.
